1. Gulmarg (meadow of flowers) gone white: Literally the ‘Meadow of flowers’, the charming hill resort of Gulmarg was once called Gaurimarg in honor of Gauri, Lord Shiva’s wife. The Moghul Emperor Jahangir once collected 21 different kinds of flowers here. A convenient base for trek, Gulmarg offers a magnificent view of Nanga Parbat, one of the highest mountains in the world and is an excellent winter sports centre. It also has the highest green golf course in the world, 56 kms from Srinagar. Trekking in Gulmarg is an awesome experience that explores the beauty of Kashmir very amazingly.

2. Trekking in Pahalgam: Three hours away from Srinagar, Pahalgam is a picturesque town on the banks of the Lidder River and a hub for pilgrims en route to Amarnath, further north, the small town of Sonamarg makes for a great day trip to frolic in the snow, even in the summer months. At Kashmir trekkers can enjoy the expeditions to places that are very far from daily chaos and crowd. There are plenty of other treks, but trekking in Pahalgam-Tarsar-Marsar is wonderful that revive you with the touch of nature. Trekking in Pahalgam Valley has the beauty and cool effect of River Lidder, that is draped with awesome picturesque.

3. Trekking in Sonamarg: Sonamarg- Vishansar- Bandipora trek is one of the fabulous trekking routes and destination that explores the beauty of Kashmir amazingly. This is the lonely space for trekking adventures and good for those people who wish to get away from the daily rush and chaos of the routine life. Trekking in Pahalgam is totally taken as an itinerary, includes the way adventures of Sonamarg-Vishansar- Bandipora.

4. Trekking in Jammu & Kashmir: Jammu, which is famous for their fabulous shrine and adventures, also a winter capital of Jammu & Kashmir. Trekking in Jammu, includes the adventures of religious and sacred trek in the way of Mata Vaishno Devi. You can start your trek from Katra to Vaishno Devi Shrine, that is situated on the height of Trikuta hills and this trek is just a matter of couple of hour trail. The length of this trek is just 13 kms with all fun and adventure.

3. Jammu & Kashmir Paragliding fun : From the Temple-dotted plains of Jammu, the pristine meadows and lakes of the Kashmir valley, and the rugged desert landscape of Ladakh, J&K abounds in the hills as well. Paragliding in Jammu & Kashmir is blended with fun and adventures.

Trekking is unfortunately not a safe option in Kashmir anymore due to much adventure and thrilling moments. The Excursion is possible from Sonamarg which is the base for the Alpine Lakes trek and to Kolahoi Glacier from Aru Valley. You can also cover these routes on horseback; Porters are easily available as well.
